Summer Fun

Have you kicked off summer yet? Whether or not you are ready to usher in summer with flair or just quietly let summer creep in, we have some fun suggestions to help you enjoy a fun-filled summer with your littles. Don’t forget to download our FREE printable!

Summer may be daunting, but it can be manageable if you balance some summer chores with some planned fun. The beauty of a Bucket List is that some things can be spontaneous and easy, while others can be planned and awaited with eagerness. When checking off a list, it can also be helpful to look back and remember all the fun that has been done over the summer.

.

When talking about this as a family, make sure to prioritize the top 2-3 things you would like to do each month to make sure you get those checked off! Some fun ideas include:

  • Bake scones and have an afternoon tea party
  • Read Springtime books
  • Make popsicles/ homemade ice cream
.
  • Mail snail mail to a relative or friend
  • Try a new food
  • Run through the sprinkler
  • Stay up for stargazing
  • Make S'mores
  • Try Indoor Camping
  • Putt-putt golf
  • Visit a petting zoo or local aquarium
  • Plant some new flowers or herbs

  • Make homemade lemonade
  • Blow Bubbles
  • Paint with watercolor

Remember that children are enchanted by nature and simple joys. You don’t have to have to travel far, spend lots of money, or have fancy excursions to make memories. Spending time with them is the greatest gift we can give our children. These days are long, but the years are short. Let’s plan some fun days to mark this summer season. You can snag our FREE printable in color here or a coloring sheet version for your child here. Tag us in your posts and use #LJsummerfun so we can see all the fun you're having!
